What is Strength Percentile?

Quick Definition

A statistical rank showing the percentage of lifters you out-lift.

A Strength Percentile is a statistical metric that ranks a lifter's performance relative to a reference population. For example, if a lifter is in the 75th percentile for the bench press, it means they lift more weight than 75% of lifters within their specific demographic (gender, bodyweight, and age group), while the remaining 25% lift more than them. Percentiles provide context to raw lifting numbers, transforming an absolute value (e.g., a 100 kg bench press) into a relative measure of capability.
